Truth Statement: I Can Overcome Fear (A guest Post!!)

I am jumping up and down excited today friends – My sweet, very dear and totally funny friend, Kate, is joining us today!!! Kate is a grab your arm kinda-writer getting right to the heart of the matter; she’s also a graphic designer extraordinaire but her most amazing feat is that she is a superMom (no really she is!). Imagine me all obnoxious and grabbing your arm to come join me in the conversation with her. This girl… this girl has some wisdom! Listen:

— — —

Fear can creep in to any situation, or walk beside us like a hungry lion seeking to devour.  It can destroy progress, paralyze growth and steal joy in the blink of an eye.

The lie: Fear is insurmountable and ever-present.

When fear steals your ‘end in sight’, just focus on the step in front of you. God walks with you every moment, ready to provide that courage you need to press on.  You have the authority, in Christ Jesus, to tell the fear walking beside you to get behind you.

The truth:

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

Ok- maybe I’m the only one who wonders those things. I had the pure delight in meeting Beth’s friend, Kate, over 2 years ago… and the very second the conversation started it was as if we’d been friends forever. We got to hang out in person about a year later and let me tell you- those moments were unforgettably AWESOME! I walked in a bit uneasy about friendship in general, my heart wounded. And then I laughed my guts out and talked about the really raw parts of life and found myself breathing again. Kate is legitimately a true friend. She feels all the feels with you and isn’t afraid to talk about any of them. But even moreso- Kate hungers for the truth and takes you with her in her pursuit. We need people like that in our lives- she is one of them in mine. Come check out her blog- one of my favorites!!
