31 Affirmations

With more than enough ammunition to fuel the argument that you’ve failed, you’re not enough, and you can never be/do/have, there are plenty of places to fall short before you even begin. It plagues every stage of life, every race, nationality and even every generation. It’s a battle fought in the invisible places of our minds.

Insecurity.

Those self-doubting, self-critical, defeating thoughts plague our souls, and we’re fed up.

What if you had access to an arsenal that rivals those lies? What if you could once and for all defeat those mindsets that hold you back?

This series is for you. Every day this month we’ll tackle one lie and replace it with an affirmation of truth. Not cheesy platitudes, but truth based on the words of your Creator. Instead of feeling shackled by I am not’s, and cannots, you’ll stand tall in the truth of who you are, what you are capable of and who’s opinion really matters.

Each Truth Statement link below will go live the day of (starting tomorrow), or you can subscribe using the sign up on the right and it will come directly to your email inbox every morning for the month of October!

Here’s a few tips before we begin.

  • These are suggestions. The trick to using affirmations is BELIEVING them. The word AFFIRM means to state as a fact; assert strongly and publicly; to declare, uphold and defend. To defend and state as fact – you have to believe it. If you find a different verse that more pointedly speaks to you, I say, GO FOR IT! Plaster it on a 3X5 card, speak it out and let it transform you.
  • These Affirmations are intentionally broad- Be specific with yourself. For example: “I belong as a member of the body of Christ”, or “I have strength to set boundaries”, even: “I am heard as friend of God”. The more specific you are, the less room for doubt.
  • Just in case you were wondering… this isn’t the “name it and claim it” game. This is taking God’s word and speaking it out loud so you can hear it and agree with what your Creator already says about you
