Leave {Five Minute Friday}

The air demands your pause. The stars hold your gaze and as you pause, the waves of wind dance through the pines. First to the east, then overhead and finally it’s echo drifts off farther west. This high place holds glory magestically; His creative touch evident around every bend.

We left the noisy mundane to come here. Right here.

A pause. A reflection. A whisper.

Refreshment for the soul.

This was not the result of a wandering meander. No we planned and prepared. We packed and then we climbed. It was work, this travel a journey of winding twists. There were delays and then times of exhilerating speed. But we left, we ascended, and now we are here.

Finding His high place, His sanctuary of holiness, will not happen by wandering through life, but by leaving the mundane with a plan and a purpose to find Him.

I am asking God for one thing, only one thing: To live with him in his house my whole life long. I’ll contemplate his beauty; I’ll study at his feet. That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, The perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic.   ~Psalm 27:4-5 msg

Tonight I write with a brave goup of beautiful writers in a flash mob of sorts. We gather every Friday around one common word and brave it with pen in hand for 5 minutes. Its beautiful fun. Please come join us to write or join us in reading, either way it’s a crazy lovely time. All the details are here at Kate Motaung’s place.
